  I have a trip to Italy coming up and I wanted to get a small backpack that I could use as a personal item that offered maximum options and volume for the size limits. I bought this bag because it had so many great reviews and I actually understand why. For most part, it’s a great bag. It has so many great pockets! It has a wet items pocket so if you’re going to the beach and have wet gear, it’s great to have a place to have damp items without getting everything else wet. It also has a padded laptop sleeve in the back, which is nice. All of the pockets make sense except for one. It was a deal breaker for me. The shoe compartment is not my favorite. It zips open at the bottom but the sleeve sticks up inside the rest of the bag. It’s a clunky design, in my opinion. With your shoes tucked up inside the bag, you have to pack around the shoes. Might as well just stick your shoes in a separate shoe bag and pack inside. If you don’t use that shoe pocket, then the sleeve is in your way and takes up space. This bag also opens vertically, which some people may like, but I decided that I wasn’t really a fan. Also, it doesn’t offer very good structure to hold the sides up as you pack. I felt like I was wrestling with stuff because the sides were so soft. So ultimately, I decided to return this bag and find something else.

  5.0 out of 5 stars So Many Compartments so BEWARE OF OVERPACKING

  Took this as one of my two carry-on items for a seven-day trip to Rome and London, and it fit quite a few things. It was easy to pack and fill all the compartments, but that made it so it wouldn’t fit under the seat in front of me on any of my flights (coincidentally, the person sitting next to me on one flight had the same backpack in a different color that DID fit under the seat because hers wasn’t so stuffed). Beware if you’re prone to overpacking. If all compartments are filled to the brim, you will also have trouble accessing the two front pockets.I share what other reviewers have said about the shoe compartment taking up too much space of the inside main compartment. I only used that compartment for a pair of sandals to save some space in the main compartment for clothes. With that reconfiguration, I was able to fit a small packing cube, three pairs of pants, a handbag and some smaller items in the main compartment.All in all, a great product if you’re only taking one bag on a flight, but beware of overpacking and being that person who takes up a lot of space in the overhead compartments.

  I bought this bag after spending a weekend with a friend who picked HALF HER CLOSET in this backpack using compressing packs. I mean, she had like three pairs of shoes, two dresses, multiple pants and tops, shapewear, toiletries, her work laptop, and more. She used it as a carry on and it fit under her seat on the plane! I got the large purple and the light lavender purple is so pretty!!! The straps are back support are super comfortable. I wish it had a waist AND chest strap with a fastener, but that’s ok. For reference I am 5’9”. Even though the bag is big, it’s very light weight. The stitching looked solid and quality feels durable. Can’t wait to use it!

  I used this backpack (the largest size) for a 10 day trip from the US to the UK, along with a carry on hard shell luggage bag. This fit well under the seat in the Delta airplanes and the Virgin Atlantic airplanes. It was a little bit tight with my water bottle so it did fit a little better when I was on the window or middle seat. It sticks out slightly into your foot space but the flight attendants didn’t say anything about it being too large. I fit tons of stuff in this spacious bag, including my toiletries, 2 sets of clothing, my laptop, electronics bag, shoes, and a skinny hydro flask on the side. I recommend using packing cubes for even easier packing. I love how it zips fully open so it’s easy to see what’s in your bag. Definitely a favorite!

  5.0 out of 5 stars You Will Never Purchase Another Backpack!

  I had to take a lot of weekend trips earlier this year and the carryon fees were really starting to add up so I purchased this backpack and solved my fee issues! It has a built in charging spot (charger not included), it fully unzips so you can lay it open when packing, your not trying to stuff things into a backpack that only opens halfway. There are also several more pockets for personal items. A bottle holder on the side and even a padded spot for your laptop or ipad. If you take weekend jaunts this is the backpack you want! I'm sure it would be great for college students as well.
