      Works well for me, everybody's case is different, you'll need to work with it.

      I'm 5' 10", 190lbs., 38 waist. The large works. The model is wearing it way high, for me the hard sponge pad you don't really see in the image is positioned right down next to the equipment, then I wear the strap a bit higher in back to give the strap more traverse, it is a bit long. There are three means of adjustment; the main waist strap velcro, then about a three inch velcro tab at each end of the crotch strap. Overall it is comfortable enough. Have patience, and work with the thing until it gives you relief.I can do most of my daily activities, but I still need to sit down after long periods of standing. Exercise is limited to what doesn't put pressure on my groin. This is tolerable until I get surgery, I would not call it a long term solution. To be clear, I was close to not being able to function when this showed up, now I can do most things, so for me it was entirely worth it.My surgeon looked at it and offered some reports from patients that after enough time it would start to impinge on nerves in the legs. This was entirely anecdotal, he made it VERY clear that it was not a professional opinion. So I only wear it as tight as I have to, and on those afternoons I'm glued to this desk chair I try to remember to take it off for an hour or two.I am getting along. One star off only because I have to wear mine a different way than the maker envisioned, so the adjustment takes some work.

      Worked good for a while

      Works well but after 2.5 months of wearing, the Velcro won't hold anymore and pops open. I have to stretch it to close it on a good section of Velcro making it tight.

      It's well made. but!

      The instructions are on a piece of paper smaller than a playing card, written in about a 4 font. Impossible to read or see the picture without a high powered magnifier. Why make a great product and then skimp on the instructions?

      Makes a big difference

      I originally bought the XL size because I am right at the L/XL size boundary. I had to wrap the belt halfway around my waste but fortunately the Velcro extends that far. On the other hand, there is insufficient Velcro on the crotch strap so it stays loose. I will shortly try the L size.ButMost important, the belt definitely helped minimize or eliminate inguinal pain. I am fairly active and tried busy days with and without the belt. Without the belt I developed pain and a hot feeling by the afternoon. With the belt, zero pain. The belt is somewhat tight around the waist, and although the pad pressure was less than I thought I needed, it was evidently adequate to do the job.I have no idea if this device will slow further deterioration, but in the short term it is very effective to stop the pain and other symptoms of my “small” hernia.Update: I just had my hernia repaired, so I can say goodbye to the belt! The surgeon said NO when I asked if I should wear it after surgery. In my case, the hernia seemed to get gradually worse over time, so by the time I went under the knife, I was more than ready. The moral of my story is: find a good surgeon and get scheduled before it's urgent! That can take time and you really don't want a crisis. Hernias don't heal so your choice is sooner or later.

      Great product for hernia relief

      This hernia belt was just the thing for holding me together, as I strained and caused a hernia lifting my aging Golden retriever, since he needs assistance with going to the bathroom,... I have an appt to see my Dr and schedule surgery to get this taken care of. In the meantime, this is allowing comfort and mobility. It sucks getting old!
