1. Does it need a neutral line? How could I know whether there is a neutral line？
Yes, it needs a neutral line.
The best way is to check the actual wires in the switch box, the neutral line is often going to be colored white, but it also may be other colors.
If there are multi-gang switches, that has a much higher likelihood of having neutrals.
If there is a wall outlet near the switch, most likely that switch box has a neutral.
If your house was built in the mid-1980s or later, there is an excellent chance that you have neutral lines in the box.
2. What is the difference between the single-pole switch, dimmer switch, and the 3-way switch?
The single-pole switch is designed to turn on/off the light at only 1 place, but could not control the fan speed or light brightness.
The dimmer switch is designed to turn on/off the light at only 1 place, besides, it also could control the fan speed or light brightness.
The 3-way switch is designed to turn on/off the light at 2 places, but could not control the speed and brightness. The 3-way switch also could be used as the single-pole switch.
3.I have a dual wifi router, How could I use it?
The smart switch needs 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi only, not suitable for 5Ghz
If it broadcast only 1 signal, you will need to go to the Wi-Fi management and create a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi signal first, choose it and enter the password.
If it is broadcasting both signals, the 5G signal will be ignored. You’ll just choose the 2.4Ghz WIFI and enter the password of it.

Seamless integration with Alexa and Google
I’ve been slowly converting all of the switches in my house to the decorator-style switches, and in the process I’ve also been turning some of them into smart-switches. Unfortunately, I haven’t done it all at once and since the budget is always a consideration, I don’t always end up with the same brand. So when I saw this four-pack for a good price I jumped at the chance of getting four switches that were the same.Here are the basics on these:• They are single-pole, in other words they won’t work on 3-way switch installations• The LED is actually on the lower part, and the little logo the top part is just a WiFi logo that does not turn on• To be properly installed they need to have a neutral wire (usually white) because they’re always powered• As is the case with all of these type switches, they will only work on 2.4Ghz WiFi• The included (single) wall-plates all have the brand name stamped on them (I didn’t like that)• They work seamlessly with the Smart Life app, which seems to be the most universal app• Once installed and linked to the app, if your app is linked to your Alexa and/or Google Home apps, the switch(es) will be discovered automatically.• Rename the switch(es) as you wish and then program scenes, rooms, and routines to your heart’s contentThe switches have a springy feel to them and they always remain in the same position. Think of them more as a button that you press on or off but not really move up or down. The LED will indicate when the lights are on or off, but of course if the switch is in the same room that’s pretty obvious. Anyway, I’m very satisfied with how these turned out, and how well they integrated into my existing setup.
Excellent Single Pole Switch - Can be tricky getting restored if you loose power
First off, this is only designed to replace single pole switches which means if your light can be turned on or off from multiple locations/switches, then you need the 3 Way version, not this one. That said, these are really great and I have installed 8 of these in my residence. You must know the user name and password of your WiFi network in order to set it up. The Gosund app is very easy to use and allows you to setup automation so you can have your lights come on and turn off at preprogrammed times which is a great theft deterrent.One comment I will make about “neutral wire required” is that I had a situation where the box did NOT have a neutral wire but did have a ground wire, so I was able to get the light to work by connecting the neutral and ground wires of the switch together with the ground wire in the box. However, I would suggest consulting an electrician before trying this. In my case the white wire (in my box) that was supposed to be neutral was actually being used as the hot wire or “line in” and the black wire was being used as the return for the load, leaving the ground wire which was indeed “ground”.UPDATE: I lost power today for about 5 seconds and when everything came back up, Bolo Alexa could not see any of my 8 switches. Oddly, the phone app had no trouble controlling the light switches. It ended up being a simple solution but one that took me awhile to troubleshoot: simply turn off the breakers associated with each switch and then turn it back on. The switches immediately reconnected with Alexa.

Fits perfectly on a 3 switch plate and easy to setup and use and set up schedules. I use it with my Echo DOT, Echo show, my phone, and fire stick controller, all with ease.
Cheap plastic, annoying LED
Well, it works, so that gets it 3 stars. My issues are :1) The switch is made of VERY cheap plastic. Every time I manually click on the switch, it just FEELS cheap. Obviously, since it works with Alexa, you don't need to manually click it. It's something I would actually be embarrassed to have a guess push though, which is one of the weirdest things I've ever thought. LOL2) When the light is on, the LED on the switch is red. WHY?? The LED is capable of being green, since it flashes green when you are setting it up. It should be green when the light is on. Not a big deal, but it just irks me.

I was looking to install smart switches for my outdoor lights. I wanted switches that could turn on outdoor lights in the evening and turn them off in the morning. This pack of 4 switches seemed like a perfect buy, the reviews were good and price was very reasonable too. I ordered the switches and was eagerly waiting to receive and install.Unfortunately I assumed that my existing switches which I want to replace would have all 4 wires. (My house is relatively new, constructed only 8 years back.) Although the listing clearly mentions that the neutral wire is required and I did read it, I went ahead and ordered these switches without checking, only to realize my mistake when I tried to do the installation.I reached out to Tan Tan support to check if there was any way I could install these switches. I received a prompt reply from Michelle explaining that the switches do not work without the neutral. I will have my friends try these out.I want to recommend this product but please make sure you have the neutral wire before ordering. The product receives 5 stars for excellent customer service.

Used all 4 in a 4 gang switch box to control 3 different outdoor lights, plus interior foyer lights. Have set outdoor lights to come on relative to sunset time, and off at different times on different days of the week. Gives the house a 'lived in' look when we're away. And I can also control them with the Gosund app on my phone.
