  No batteries to replace every month!!

  I had something destroying my sound insulation pad on the driver side of my fender on my 2016 Chevy Equinox as materials were accumulating on top of the cab filter inside the vehicle behind the glove box. I do not think it was mice as I never caught any in my mice traps and never saw any other signs. I have several squirrels in the area and experienced issues years ago with wiring damage from them chewing on an engine sensor harness on my truck. I also found walnuts in the engine compartment of my car years ago. I used live traps back then to weed them out but they aren't falling for that trick any more. So I am now using plan B with these devices. The eyelets for the battery posts look small in the picture for the product but they are sufficient. I preferred connecting to the battery instead of using replaceable batteries so that the device has a constant strong power supply for operation, and not become insufficient as replaceable batteries slowly loose their power. I noticed a squirrel one day approach the rear of my Equinox, got just up to the rear bumper, hesitated for a bit, and ran off the other direction. Hopefully it was this device that scared it off. I have a live trap with walnuts in it for bait next to the garage and the squirrels have been staying away from it so that might be a good sign that it works. Will advise if anything different

  SO FAR SO GOOD

  After installing two of these in the engine compartment (yeah, I don't trust those little furry rodents) it's been several weeks and no further evidence of mouse/rat poop or chewed wires or underwood insulation being torn out for nests. Nice compact easy to install units and very reasonable in price. I'd buy again.

  It works

  The eye clamps were too small to fit over my battery posts but that inconvenience was eliminated with a quick response from the seller. So far so good. The squirrels (or whatever) have not chewed my SUV's engine wires since I installed the device. An inexpensive alternative to $350 repair charge.

  Too early to know for sure

  I just installed it, seems to light up the engine compartment well if you're able to position it correctly and fasten it correctly. I didn't give install 5 stars because for my jeep, which has the battery under the drivers seat, was a challenge to determine how to connect. If battery easily accessible, install is easy. Couldn't give five stars on motion detection because its suppose to stop when car moves but since I'm driving the car, I have no idea if it stopped. Looking forward to winter to see if it stops the squirrels from bedding down in my engine.

  They really work.

  I have had these mounted under the hood of both of my vehicles for over a year now. All I can say is they really work! I live in Northern Arizona out in the middle of nowhere. I've had rodent damage to both vehicles. After I installed these, there is no more indication of any rodents being present. The unit is easy to install with no high amp draw or draining of my batteries. I've no longer had any issues with rodents anywhere in or out of my vehicles. They also work well for large trailerable air compressors, generators, and large water pumps.
