About

Our Pioneer Harness is created to have all the necessary functions that adventurous dog and owner needs. Traffic handle on the back can be used to either lift the dog up on high hills or redirect them when necessary. Neoprene body with compressed foam provides a secure protection.

  • FOR SMALL DOGS – Pioneer Harness is made for small breed dogs. This means that our largest size will fit a dog up to 35 lbs. In order to fully utilize the functionality of the harness, as well as the fit, we recommend measuring the largest part of the dog’s chest. If the measurement is between sizes, please size up.
  • TRAFFIC HANDLE – Suede finish handle provides a grip when there is a need for a close-range control as well as a stylish accent.
  • ADJUSTABLE – The harness provides an adjust-ability of the neck and the chest. Nylon fastener on the chest provides a double layer of security in case the buckle comes off.
  • NO PULL – Depending on the dog’s behavior, you can use the font clip on the harness to reduce pulling.
  • WELL PADDED – No more thin nylon harnesses that is uncomfortable for your dog. Pioneer harness is padded with compressed foam that reduces pressure when pulled and provides protection outdoors.

      I love this harness with a few exceptions

      I have used Gooby before and many customers do not know they make small dog products so the XL is not going to fit a big dog. I used Gooby with my Westie who was a Large in a Gooby size. Currently we have a new rescue puppy that is about 6 months and 30+ pounds. She is shown in this photo wearing the Gooby XL. Here are a few things I love about this harness: 1. It is padded 2. It is secure and has the extra benefit of velcro holding under the plastic latches in the back. That is like insurance in case something comes undone with the plastic. 3. It has a metal, not plastic link on the back for the leash to attach. 4. There is a handle on the back so you are able to better control your dog if necessary. 5. The colors are great. We got a pink because our girl is so dark that she can look wolf like and the pink gives her a nice vibe. 6. The harness is made extremely well and is durable.What I have exception with is what some others complained about. The harness has an odd fit. It seems to hang down a bit. That said, it offers no issues as to security for my dog and may even add to her comfort. It does seem tighter in some places and looser in others. I wish Gooby made big dog harnesses but I am glad that in the meantime that the XL fits my puppy. I have not seen anything anywhere that is better.

      These are great, but not for large, anxious dogs

      I wasn't sure how to rate these. I like them. I have two. They're sturdy and durable. I think for a regular dog, it fits well and is makes it easier to control your dog than to use a neck-only kind of situation. I have 65 pound anxious dogs. They get scared of...well, a lot of things. We were bringing them to a behaviorist (what a waste of time that was, she didn't help us at all) they didn't want to go into the building. As we tried to lure them in, one of my dogs pulled backwards and somehow, he popped right out of the harness. I still can't figure out how, the buckles were all intact and closed, no tear or anything. Maybe it was a one-off, but I can't risk it happening again and I had to buy a completely different harness. I think this is a good harness, but maybe not for a super strong, anxious dog.

      Finally a lift harness for a stubby French Bulldog!

      I’ve been looking for months for a lift harness that would fit my chubby French Bulldog. He’s on pain meds which have caused him to gain 4 lbs and of course he has a short body, so a harness that fit his girth was WAY too long in the body. Gooby has made this harness to fit the stature of a stubby dog and lift them with comfort! Thank you, thank you your harness has made our lives easier. We love Gooby fleece vests, as well! All around a great company for dog products

      Comfortable, durable, and quick and easy to put on and take off

      My yorkie has a 9 in. Neck and a 14in. Girth.This is the only halter I found that fit hit well.I was also shopping for a long time trying to find a halter that didn't have the fasteners behind or at the armpits. I didn't want them rubbing or pinching him.This fits well, and is very durable.

      Love it!

      I love this harness for my cocker spaniel! I've used it for over a year now and it has held up well! I especially love the handle for keeping control over the wiggly guy, plus it works well with the car seatbelt. The velcro sides allow me to get him in it and then get him buckled up!! :)
