Fittings that come with kit are not the same quality as the individual units
This is probably an oversight on my part, but when I bought this kit, I thought that the fittings (straight and 90 degree) were the same as the ones you can buy separately. However, both types of fittings are not the same (as the ones you can buys separately). The ones that come with the kit require the flexible conduit be screwed into the fitting; not pushed in and then tightened with the plastic "domed sealing nut". I would recommend buying the conduit and the fittings separately. I thought I was saving money when I ended up not using any of the fittings that came with the kit.The other comment that I have is that rubber washer that comes with the connects in this kit as well as the ones that you can buy separately all seem to be too soft (and pliable) to put any real pressure on it. As more pressure is applied, the washers deform.
NOT for use with WATERPROOF boxes with threads
I gave a rating of 1 Star for false description. There is absolutely NO WAY to use these connectors on both ends of liquid tight flexible tubing if the connectors are to be screwed into waterproof boxes. The connectors are one-piece (i.e. no tightening nut to turn down on the tubing). For the first end of the tubing, you can screw the connector down onto the tubing and then screw the connector into the waterproof box, but on the opposite end of the tubing, once you screw the connector onto the tubing, there is no way to screw the connector into the waterproof box. - By trying to screw the connector into the box, it would unscrew from the tubing. The product description should say, "FOR USE WITH METAL HANDY BOX JUNCTION BOXES ONLY." Product description currently states for outdoor and wet use. Most codes do not allow metal handy boxes to be used outdoors or in wet conditions. Product is easy to use with metal handy boxes for flexible conduit to motors, etc., it just won't work with threaded boxes. By the way, these connectors are so below expectation, I noticed I could not locate these same "kit" connectors for sale by Sealproof anywhere else in Amazon. However, Sealproof does advertise traditional waterproof connectors with a turning nut to secure the tubing.
Great flex conduit.
Exactly as described. Easy to cut. Easy to terminate. Easy to install. Small tip, may want to pull cable before installing the end fittings. I used it with this box https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045PVNXE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Great product – very easy to use – got a little chuckle from an earlier review about how hard the fittings are to slide on – Very easy to use – you don’t try to push the conduit into the outside fitting - you twist it along the lines - however there are 15’s which have a screwtop which are easier - next time I will probably buy the Conduit and the easier fittings separate
Connectors don't work well
The conduit is pretty standard stuff that you can find in any home improvement store, but the fittings/connectors are real crap. Very cheap and difficult to use. The ones you get at Home Depot or Lowes are way better. I managed to use a couple of them, but I ended up going to Lowes to get some good ones to finish the job. My recommendation is to buy this locally and get what you want.
Useful for running line to surface mounted electrical box
PLUSES: Relatively inexpensive water tight flexible conduit for running electrical line from outlet to surface mounted electrical box. Easy to trim to size and install. Suitable for direct burial use.MINUSES: Stiff and somewhat inflexible in short lengths but far easier to use than is rigid conduit.
Flexible and easy to pull wires through.
It is flexible enough and big enough to easily pull three to four 14 AWG and 12 AWG THHN wires, it takes a little used to threading on the conduit to the couplers as those aren't the ones with the sperate collar that tightens down to hold the conduit tightly, but it works good, the conduit is just as good as a well known brand.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Tubing that tubes to the tubular max. Joints are a major plus. Easy to cut. Almost as easy as cutting wood with a butter knife. (get a heavy duty pair of snips or I used a PVC cutter for a clean cut). This did the job I needed and made me a Master of the Universe to my kids when I completed this for our Christmas Lights. My house is now Castle GreySkull.
