  Used for hearing impaired solution!

  I used this to split the digital optical out of my TV into two streams. This allowed me to send one signal to the sound bar system for all the normal hearing family, and one signal to a blutooth transmitter for all the partially deaf family. Those of us with decreased hearing can connect our Bluetooth headphones (or in some cases hearing aids) and hear the TV. No more blowing my wife out of the room with the volume! Made both of us very happy! No problems with lag! No problems with the sound quality! No problems at ALL!

  This product works GREAT!

  My mom is elderly and lives with us full time. She is hard of hearing, and we have been at our wits end with having to have the TV so loud. I have been trying forever to find a way to split the ONLY audio out on my TV (optical), so she is able to use headphones/TV ears and watch TV with the family. That way she can control her volume, and we can have the TV at an normal volume in the room. This used to be easy when everyone had cablevision and could use analog connections into the back of the cable box. We dropped cable for Roku and have been looking for a solution since then. I have tried several other optical splitters, but because this one is powered, it truly splits the optical into three separate outputs. We can now have our sound bar, headphones and TV ears for my mom receiving sound, and there is no delay. Your product should be marketed to be sold with all head phones/TV ears since most newer televisions only have one audio out option. I was surprised that even in stores, there were unable to "solve my problem". I know we are not the only people living with someone who is hearing impaired. THANK YOU Tendak!

  Works with Hearing Aid Streaming Devices

  I have hearing aids with a streaming device that goes directly to my hearing aids, as well as a sound bar. This allows me to Mute the TV and the Sound Bar, and still hear through the streaming device. I watch shows that my wife doesn't care to hear, so it solves both problems without having to constantly switch optical cables between the streaming device and the sound bar. Both can run simultaneously with no loss of sound due to the nature of the Optical Splitter and, if I choose, I can hear through the streaming device at the same time that the TV and Sound Bar are putting out sound. New hearing aids don't allow this type of feature, i.e. muting the TV and Sound Bar and only streaming to the hearing aid.

  Worked like a charm to send TV sound to either soundbar or headphones

  Since my TV has horrible,tinny speakers, I used an BoloBasics Toslink cable I purchased along with this device to connect it to my TV's optical audio out port, then connected my wireless headphones base unit and soundbar to two of the device's outputs via other Toslink cables I already had. I made sure my TV's Sound Output was set to Audio Out/Optical and right off the bat, when the soundbar was turned on and the headphones off, my bedroom was filled with gorgeous sound. When the soundbar was off and the headphones were on, I heard equally wonderful sound through them that only I could hear which is exactly what I wanted. In other words, it worked like a charm.

  IT WORKS!

  It Works! After buying a $3K OLED TV my headphones could no longer be hooked up. It has multiple audio outputs but only one can be configured. The only way to get the headphones working for both live TV and streaming services was to use this optical splitter to create multiple outputs and then the WiiStar optical SPDIF toslink to RCA adapter/converter. Now the sound bar and headphones are both on the TV optical output and function independently of one another! The DA34 adapter/converter I got first didn't work possibly due to some incompatibility issue (?). If you have a similar issue with your new LG TV this is the setup you need!
