    Great For Astronomy

I wasn't expecting a whole lot from these, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm beginning astronomy, and they work great for that. The wide angle allows you to see more of the sky and have less wobble. You get a great view of the Moon, Mars, Jupiter. I was even able to spot the Andromeda galaxy with these. They've been great and I highly recommend them.

    Poor quality for "$100" binoculars

Very disappointed in this product. Advertised at $300 yet if you use both lenses to focus 1 image it wont focus so all u get is two moons ect...its like your crosseyed. Only way to see moon as 1image is to close one eye or view both lenses from 8 inches away. On top of that the zoom isnt even that great. I thought id see moon craters but you cant. Its more like a $40 binocular....i guess why its priced from $300 to $100.....dont waste your money. Highly disappointed. Will be looking to buy another pair that i can see 1 image in both lenses and see much farther and clearer. Guess you get what you pay for...yet this isnt even close to $100 worth of quality

    Good Binoculars

I'm a beginner astronomer and wanted to buy something that's portable and lightweight. I've also considered Nikon Action binocular, but opted to get Scenix since they were lighter and also had casing made out of metal vs Action that are heavier and have plastic body. At first I bought 10x50 but these proved to be near impossible to hold steady so I've exchanged them for 7x50 pair. Even under light polluted east coast skies I'm able to see Orion nebula and beehive cluster. Mars and Jupiter are visible as dots, but no detail. Coupled with Android apps such as Skye and Google Maps, as well as Stellarium, I've been making a great progress in learning the night sky. As far as quality of optics I really don't have a frame of reference as I've never owned any astronomic devices before, but I have no complaints about the images that I see.Two negatives that I have is that the protective caps that go over main lenses are not tight and every time I take binoculars out of the case they come off. Makes me worried that when this happens the lenses might get scratched. Also, this item comes with only 2 year warranty compared to Nikon Action 25 year warranty!Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend these binoculars in 7x50 version to someone who doesn't want to spend a bundle to get quality optics.

Initially mis-collimated, but, Orion customer service gave a free replacement.

Initially, binoculars were out of collimation. So, when I contacted Orion telescope customer service for the tech support finding collimation bolt, they gave me a free replacement. And, with new binoculars delivered with nice collimation. Now I can see object in 1 image. (not 2)Except the initial quality problem which was fixed by nice customer service,Overall quality is high.I am happy with the bino.

    Good optic product

It is the first time I bought from Orion. I already had about 4-5 binoculars, all trashed by now. I did not expect it to be at the quality as it is. Very crisp, precise, rigid. Very satisfied. Dropped on floor couple times already - no problem. I son is using it a lot (9yr old).I can't say for all their product as it is the very first and the only one I bought so far. However this particular is awesome.Planning to buy one of their larger telescopes.

High quality binoculars with a sharp view

Very nice pair of Bins. I like the wide view, weight and eye relief. As far as sky viewing... Jupiter and the moons are VERY small but are a good clear view. The moon looks amazing. I use them for viewing animals and they are also very clear. Overall a very well built pair of Bins.

    Nothing better for the price.

Not perfect but still very good. their is a bit of backlash in the focuser and twist up eyecups would have been nice, however the optics are crisp and clear, sharp to the edge, everything fits and moves as it should, the case and neckstrap are very good. All in all a good value.

    Best value for 7x50 binos.

This is amazing binos. It's extremely good for stratings with stargazing. Don't go with optical power. 7x50 is what you need. You could use it without tripod. Another important point is orientation in the sky. You will see MUCH more stars vs naked eye. Wide angle is helping in finding basic objects. BAK-4 prism is amazing. Cristal clear image with no distortion on the sides. Do not try to compare it to cheap 7x50 binos.Bottom line, one of the best value for the money.
