I've Watched This Movie 5 Times During The 36 Hour Rental!!

5.0 out of 5.0 by Chioma Njoku on June 14, 2017
I thought this movie was fantastic!

I rented, and now I will buy it. I've watched it more than 5 times during my rental period and can't seem to get enough of the "Let's Get Nut's" Batman song in the beginning of the movie.

As for whether or not it's for kids, I'll leave these comments as this is coming from a 37 year old:
I didn't think it was any more or less violent than Despicable Me or Monsters University. However, my young ones didn't understand many references made in the movie despite finding it enjoyable. Specifically, there are many references (hilarious ones or hilariously spun) that are either before many 10 year old's time, are from movies that were not for children, or are not part of US pop culture. For example, "You wanna get nuts?! Let's get nuts!" is from the 1989 Batman movie (I was 9 when that movie came out...and yes I watched it and didn't understand it until I watched it again as an adult). The Eye of Sauron is from Lord of the Rings, a PG-13 movie. Or the Daleks from Dr. Who (NIIIIIICE!!), which are awesome but part of British pop culture. ELIMINATE! ELIMINATE! ELIMINATE! ...yes, I am a closet Whovian.

I'm sure the adults appreciate the homage to the 1960's Batman (rest in peace Adam West) as represented by Alfred's batsuit and the underlying theme song. Also the "Pow!" and other visual fight sounds were enjoyable.
The humor was on point! I loved the sarcasm and indirectly making fun of...Batman.

"'Puter! Overcompensate!" "What is the password?" "Ironman sucks!"

I'm not always into these types of movies, but I thought it was honestly brilliant. Brilliantly written and just a bowl of laughs!
Loved it!!!!!!!!!

If you are a fan of the ridiculous, you will LOVE this movie. The comedy is silly, goofy and light-hearted. Will Armett nails it as Batman. The whole cast nails it! I loved this movie so much that I turned my digital rental into a purchase. And the song and dance number at the end? Laugh out loud!
Lego Batman is now my favorite Batman

Our five year old is a Lego-lover (it seems all of them are!), and a fan of the Lego Movie. We had moderately high expectations of the Lego Movie, and it did not disappoint us. It might have lost some "novelty" feeling compared to the first Lego Movie, but Batman is a great main character. His mixture of arrogance, coolness and non-sense is just perfect! I think he is now my favorite batman of all times (sorry, Bale). The movie has some language that might not be the best for kids (my son still keeps saying "Ironman sucks!"), but I will forgive them that since it is just part of the great, absurd humor on the movie.
The movie is not perfect, but I cannot think of better movies that are both exciting for kids and entertaining for parents as the Lego series.
Pretty funny. Tiny spoiler.

It has some mature humor but nothing too bad. I hate the phrase "Iron Man sucks!" and the Batman almost kissing scene. I prefer kids movies to be more for kids but this seems to be a good solid bridge movie for ages 9-15. I bought to show at my 6 year old's birthday party and am glad most of the younger kids went home before it started (dark). I usually pre-screen but based on the Lego Movie, didnt. My bad. Most parents won't mind. I don't think 3-5 year olds parroting "Iron Man sucks!" is funny. In the proper setting, it was funny.
Keep those Lego movies coming!!!

This is a great movie. I love and and all 3 kids actually sit down and watch it whenever we put it on. If you have little boys do not rent this one, buy it! It is very good and really cool they bring in some different characters like Sauron and Voldemort and King Kong! I like the message it sends- its like a family is more important than anything else message and work together and you can make the world a better place message. But still plenty of action and bad guys to go around but it makes the kids play with their legos a bunch every time they watch it- WHICH IS GREAT, THEY ARE SUCH AN EDUCATIONAL TOY AND WE HAVE TONS. Sparks creativity and Good vibes and great job on this movie.
We love Lego Batman!

Lego Batman totally made the first Lego Movie. This one is even better. It's hilarious. I'm 42 and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this with my 12 year old. The movie has a good message too. I love all the bad guy cameos in it also. Where else can you see Voldemort, Sauron, Joker and Batman in the same movie?
Go see it already!

I didn't care for The Lego Movie all that much due to an almost 'Family Guy' barrage of references which seemed just for references sake.

However, Batman gets it right. Only during a couple fight scenes was there too much going on ask at once.

The story, the action, and the humor were totally on point for a great Batman flick.

A must watch
For Batfans of all ages.

Where do I begin? The epic password to the Batcave? The phenomenal shout-outs to past Batmans? Everything is awesome about this movie! It actually confronts the fact that the character of Batman is a standoffish jerk--and forces him to do something about that. Ralph Fiennes made a wonderful Alfred, Rosario Dawson was everything I hoped for in Barbara Gordon--the writing is just great and I love so much about it. As pretty much a lifetime Batfan, this was a hugely satisfying film.
The Lego Batman Movie was just so very funny ;)

This movie was cute, fun, funny in a laugh out loud kinda way and all the characters "actors" did a great job using their voices to their utmost potential in this film. I loved the last Lego movie that had Batman with the same actor voicing him. However, this movie was even more funny than that one was. There are jokes in the movie that only adults will get but nothing crude so it is suitable for the whole family. It left me with a big smile on my face and that is what I want in the summer, to be lazy and watch silly & funny movies. This one did all of that and more by teaching a few life lessons for Kids or Adults. Good job to Will Arnett as "Batman" and Michael Cera as "Robin", lol.
I'm The Lego Batman Movie, I'm Awesome

This movie totally rocks!!!!! I pre-ordered for streaming so I got the email and that night the kiddies and I watched. We really loved this movie. Since that first viewing, I can actually say that I lost count about how many times I have seen it.

I have heard people say that the first Lego Movie was better or that this one was better. In my opinion, the only thing that's the same is that they are Lego movies. The first one is great and was an introduction into what I hope will be many Lego movies but it is self contained. Batman was a character in the Lego Movie.

The Batman Lego Movie is a batman movie in Lego form. I am a huge Batman fan and I loved, loved, loved everything about The Batman Lego Movie. My eleven year old even asked me who did this movie because she wanted them to make all of the DC movies because it was so good. Let me reiterate, this is NOT The Lego Movie 2. It is specifically The Batman Lego Movie. This is a movie all about Batman (i.e. his costumes, his gadgets, his alter ego, Robin, his many vehicles, all of his enemies, his moodiness, his arrogance, etc.)

I said all of that just to say don't compare. Each movie is a great stand alone film. They both will have their fans and their critics. It's okay because every movie is not for everyone. So this review is for every BATMAN fan out there. This little animation is great. The movie has a great little story within and it deals with some internal things that we all struggle with but it s also filled with humor, great one liners, some surprises and little hidden gems that will make you watch the movie over and over again to see what you missed. You may even find yourself quoting lines in your everyday life referencing the movie (i.e. I'm Batman, I'm Awesome, I've Got a Nine Pack!)

For those that haven't seen it yet or who are on the fence, give it a chance. It is for all ages. You might really enjoy it.
