the perfect wipe for my little baby

3.0 out of 5.0 by Dennis & Kristy on October 18, 2017
As a part of my quest as a first time parent, i have made it my mission to find the newest and latest wipe in the market, the perfect wipe for my little baby. My two main requirements on this quest are 1, soft to the touch and 2, odorless. I have journeyed through Huggies Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes, Sensitive, Unscented, 3 Refill Packs, 648 Count Total, Bloom bloom BABY Sensitive Skin Unscented Hypoallergenic Baby Wipes, 80-Count, Babyganics Babyganics Face, Hand & Baby Wipes, Fragrance Free, 400 Count (Contains Four 100-Count Packs), and now Seventh Generation. My thoughts are as below.

Huggies Wipes
Pro - large size, you can wipe and fold and re-wipe up to three x with the same sheet. I have done this when my little one has some massive diaper mess overload, not a problem. Mild lemony scent, i don't love or hate this but some parents may or may not like this. Affordable price.
Con - drench in solution. This is not a problem when you purchase the single pack pullout on the go pack with the plastic snap cover. But with the refillable large bulk pack, they are drenched in solution. Everytime i open a pack to refill in my wipe warmer container, i have to squeeze out a ton of solution or the wipe will end up sitting in a puddle of liquid. This is a major drawback for me because i have found that if i don't make sure to squeeze out the liquid, everytime i pull a sheet out to wipe it will come out dripping with solution, which causes a big mess when you are trying to clean and wipe your little one dry. This is my reason to leave Huggie and move on to Bloom.

Bloom Wipes
Pro - large size, same advantage as Huggies in term of sizing, which you can wipe 3 x before toss out as opposed to grabbing three wipes for one diaper change. Very subtle to none when it comes to scent. Just the right amount of solution. The Bloom logo imprinted into the wipe are much nicer looking than Huggies. Self adhesive single pack that you can take on the go or refill into container at home.
Con - cost a whooping 5 cents a sheet which more than double that of Huggies cost. Softer than Huggies wipes, but a little too thick for my liking. Some of my fellow parenting friends thinks I'm crazy since thicker should be better when it comes to wipes? But i personally feel because of the thickness, it still feel a tad course to the touch and not truly soft upon skin contact in my opinion. With this, my journey for the perfect wipe continues and i found myself with Babyganics.

Babyganics Wipes
Pro - oh so soft to the touch. This is the softest wipe i have every laid my hands on. I love this so much that i sometimes would use it as hand cleaning for myself. Mild lemony scent. Just the right amount of solution. Self adhesive single pack that you can take on the go or refill into container at home.
Con - moderately priced. Not the cheapest when compared to Huggies. Veryyyyyy small in size. This is what i would call Petite Wipes, or truly "Baby Wipes" pun intended. What i can do with my Huggies and Bloom's i now have to use one wipe per each wipe, which mean one messy diaper load change will require about 4 to 5 wipes, as opposed to 2 from Bloom or Huggies. My pack last for a shorter amount of time than the other two brands as mentioned above. But, even with the smaller size, i was willing to compromise on this brand until i find another drawback with this. With this wipe, it does not work when you put it in a wipe warmer container. I have the Munchkin Wipe Warmer Munchkin Warm Glow Wipe Warmer, and i can tell you just forget about putting the wipes in here. It will not pull out through the opening because the wipes are so small in size. I have to open the lid each time i do a diaper change and manually taking out each sheet, which instantly makes the wipe turns cold because too much heat are let out when the whole lid is open. With this, my journey for the perfect wipe sadly continues onto Seventh Generation.

Seventh Generation Wipes
Pro - large size, same advantage as Huggies and Blooms. No scent. Self adhesive single pack that you can take on the go or refill into container at home.
Con - moderately priced. Not the cheapest when compared to Huggies. Less solution and less moist than Bloom and Babyganics. This is a major deal breaker for me because with this, the wipe now feels very course and rough to the touch. Since i bought a large pack i now have to finish this and my quest will continue on for the next brand.

Final Thought -
Out of all four brands that i have tried so far, i will say Babyganics remains my favorite. Despite the ultra small size, the cost, and the inconvenience of it not working with the wipe warmer, i will sacrifice using it out the single pack if i have to choose one brand to stay with simply because i love the softness of it and the silky touch of it against my baby's skin. Until i found my next perfect wipe, Babyganics will be my choice.

Cost Comparison
Huggies - 648 ct / $14.63 = $0.022 / sheet - best deal.
Bloom - 640 ct / $32.36 = $0.050 / sheet
Babyganics - 600 ct / $21.00 = $0.035 / sheet
Seventh Generation - 768 ct / $28.99 = $0.038 / sheet
These don't come in small packages with lids

I didn't read the description like I should have, but for those that don't know these don't come in small packages with lids, they come in 3 very tall packages (12 in tall). So you would have to store them in a large zip lock bag or in multiple wipe containers you have laying around your house.
Great baby wipes!

5.0 out of 5.0 by Valjulia on September 19, 2017
These are great, basic baby wipes! We've been using them for about three years now. Every now and then, we buy different brands that are on sale and such, but always end up purchasing these again. They are perfect for pretty much any job: wiping faces, hands, bottoms, high chairs... They also seem to be more gentle on baby's bottom than other brands we've tried. I've used them on two babies from their very first day, and never noticed any problems with irritation or sensitivity. They also have a nice thickness to them, they hold up very well and don't rip easily.

I also love that these are refills... Huggies is the only brand I know of that offers baby wipe refills. You can buy these super cute plastic tubs, and then just refill them. They look so much better around the house than the regular plastic packs. We keep one in the bedroom, the kitchen, and the living room, so we always have wipes on hand when needed. This particular pack of wipes does NOT come with a dispenser, so you'll have to purchase one separately. Once you have one, it's super easy to refill . I highly recommend these wipes to anyone!
Unscented, caused a bad diaper rash (I suspect) on almost 2-yr old. Tried them again 2 month laters & rash again.

UPDATE 05/30/18: Kimberly Clark wanted to speak with my niece's Mom, so she called them and described that she tried the wipes a second time, after the diaper rash cleared up completely and she ran out of another brand. After two days, my niece developed another diaper rash. The soiled diapers are changed immediately. It is strange since wipes from many other generic brands never gave her a diaper rash.
To Kimberly Clark's credit, they are attempting to get to the bottom of this problem and asked many questions and then offered a $15 gift card for the inconvenience.

These unscented baby wipes caused a very bad diaper rash on my almost 2-yr old niece. She has worn the same Huggies Little movers for a long time & bathing & drinking habits did not change, so I can only attribute the rash to these wipes. It seems so unlikely and unfortunately, after the diaper rash clears up, the only way to know for sure is to use the wipes again. If I decide to use them again, I will update this review to post the outcome.
GREAT Economical Product for Wiping PLUS Cleaning

5.0 out of 5.0 by Open & Honest on June 8, 2018
These baby wipes are a bargain and have a million uses around the house.

This particular SKU does NOT include a plastic tub, but others include one tub per case. Be careful when reading reviews and questions because sometimes those cover multiple variations of a product and not the particular item you are viewing. I previously got these in a different SKU with the tub, until I had enough tubs for my needs, then I switched to a less expensive case wo the tub. This comes with 3 very large bags of wipes. About a third of a bag will mostly fill the tub, so that's almost 9 tubs worth. I get a case every 90 days thru subscribe and save via PRIME.

Cleaning: They are much cheaper than paper towels and sturdier so use these for wiping or cleaning. They are NOT as absorbent as paper towels so they are NOT the best for cleaning up spills but they are moistened and ready to do small cleaning tasks. I use them to wipe the kitchen counter, clean the toilet seat and outside areas of toilet, etc.

Wiping: Not just for babies. Have a tub in each bathroom. You may want to avoid flushing them as there are some plumbers that say it is the number 1 reason for clogs they are called to clear. I haven't had a problem, but I flush as few as possible.
Great wipeys

These are a great deal. No extra harsh perfumes, these wipes are tough enough for died on poop (toilet training a toddler who sometimes hides his accidents), and gentle enough for newborn days. Although the Pampers wipes are softer, these wipes are thicker, and just do a better job. They save on trash too because we've been using the same box since my 3 year old was 1. Now that he is (almost) getting potty trained I will still be keeping these in his diaper bag for wiping his face and sticky hands.
I liked them until I got a batch with pilly scratchy material on them

3.0 out of 5.0 by Lisa on June 16, 2017
I loved these for the cost and quality, until the last pack I got, at least two of the 3 bags inside, have contained wipes with pilly material on them that is scratchy and uncomfortable (the opposite of what you want in a wipe). I'm trying to decide if it's worth returning the last box I got which I haven't opened yet, because it has the same manufacture date printed on it. I wonder if anyone else has experienced these scratchy pieces on their wipes?
Worth it in the long run

5.0 out of 5.0 by S. Hofmeister on May 21, 2016
I love these wipes! I have three kids and have used many wipes. These are fairly priced compared to others. I bought the Walmart brand and they were like thin cardboard. These wipes are very soft and moist. They smell great and clean well. I only have to use one of these compared to three of the cheaper brand so in the long run these are the better buy. Keep in mind these are the refill, so you need to have a plastic tub to put these in. The bag do reseal so the wipes stay wet and fresh. I use one every time I change my daughter, but these will last me a while and I can send one to daycare as well. I recommend you spend the little extra the one time and get this better quality wipe.
The Search is Over

I have been a very loyal fan of Target's Up&Up brand sensitive wipes since my daughter's birth 2.5 years ago. I keep trying other brands and formulas and always return disappointed in the other brands' quality, lasting power and/or find they irritate my daughter's sensitive skin. These are the first wipes that not only hold up in all three categories against Target's wipes, they blast them out of the water. These are thick, but not so thick I feel like I'm wiping her off with a blanket. They are moist, without dripping liquid all over when you grab one out. They are velvety soft, have zero smell to them (and I am very sensitive to smells). They clean the horrible substance known as toddler poop off with less than 1/3 of the number of wipes the Target brand takes. Finally, they're one of the only wipes I've used on my own skin and found really pleasant. Many wipes leave your skin feel sticky, tingly, roughed up, irritated or some combination of those unpleasant things. These just seem to leave your skin feeling a little moist and very clean. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm so in love with these we are making the switch, even with these being more expensive per wipe (when not on sale). If you're looking for the perfect wipe, this is it.
I love these wipes

5.0 out of 5.0 by Winnie on July 3, 2017
I love these wipes.

I was looking for wipes that didn't have a sent or a texture to them like some other wipes do. Even the "unscented" of other brands have a weird scent to them. These do not smell at all and I love how many I get per package. I have been ordering these for years now and will continue through our next baby. I even use these on myself I love them so much.
