Where It's From

Purified Water

Pharmaceutical-grade purified water makes up at least 97.9% of the liquid found in Amazon Elements Baby Wipes. The process starts with drinking water from the underground White Lick Creek Aquifer in Mooresville, Indiana. After the water is collected, it's purified in several stages—sedimentation, charcoal filtration, deionization, and ultraviolet disinfection. The end result? A wipe that's safe and gentle on a baby's sensitive skin. (And yep, that's really a photo of White Lick Creek.)

Chamomile Flower Extract

The chamomile extracts in Amazon Elements Baby Wipes come from Lewisville, Texas, from a company with over 30 years of experience harvesting, manufacturing, and distributing natural botanical extracts. A cold extraction process is employed to sidestep potential heat damage, which helps maximize chamomile's ability to relieve extra-sensitive skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Can I use these baby wipes to clean other parts of my baby?
    • Yes. Amazon Elements Baby Wipes are safe for cleaning your baby's hands, feet, face, and diaper area. Baby wipes should not be used to clean inside your baby's mouth, nose, ears, or eyes.

    See all questions and answers

    • What ingredients do you keep out of your baby wipes?
    • Amazon Elements Baby Wipes do not contain:
      • Parabens: Sometimes personal care products use parabens as a preservative; Amazon Elements Baby Wipes don't contain parabens because of customer concerns around their effect on hormone function and development.
      • Methylisothiazolinone: Also known as 'MIT', this is a preservative that is sometimes used in baby wipes, and is also sometimes used in personal care products like shampoos and lotions. It has come under some scrutiny from parents because it's classified as a sensitizer, which means it could cause contact allergies when touching skin.
      • Phthalates: Fragrances sometimes use phthalates; Amazon Elements Baby Wipes don't contain phthalates due to their potential for hormone disruption.
      • Bronopol: Has been used as a preservative in baby wipes; Amazon Elements Baby Wipes don't include bronopol because it is considered a formaldehyde donor, meaning under certain conditions it can break down to produce formaldehyde and cause contact allergies.
      • Dyes: Many personal care products—such as shampoos, lotions, and cosmetics—include dyes to make the product a more attractive color. Amazon Elements Baby Wipes don't contain dyes because we didn't want to include any unnecessary synthetic ingredients.
      • Alcohol: Cleaning wipes for the kitchen and bathroom sometimes include alcohol. You won't find alcohol in Amazon Elements Baby Wipes because it can be irritating on delicate skin.
    • Can I rehydrate baby wipes that have dried out?
    • Unfortunately, no. Our wipes are manufactured using pharmaceutical-grade purified water to keep them clean and effective; adding tap or bottled water might cause discoloration, odor, or even unwanted growths on the wipes.
    • Are the baby wipes recyclable?
    • The plastic lid and cardboard box used in shipment can be recycled. The wipes themselves and the plastic wrap around them need to be thrown away—just be sure to remove and recycle the plastic lid first!
    • Can I flush these baby wipes?
    • No, the wipes aren’t flushable.
    • How long do these baby wipes last?
    • The recommended shelf life of Amazon Elements Baby Wipes is 2 years. You can scan the unique code on your package with the Amazon mobile app to find its 'best by' date.
    • Can I still use these if they’ve been left in a hot car?
    • Being left in a hot car can cause wipes to dry out more quickly if the container isn't properly sealed, but the product will still be safe to use.
    • Do baby wipes cause diaper rash?
    • Diaper rash has a number of possible causes, including prolonged exposure to a wet or dirty diaper, rubbing and chafing caused by poor diaper fit, and even infections or allergic reactions. If you have any questions or concerns about diaper rash, please consult your pediatrician.
    • How can I get samples of this product to try before I buy?
    • Samples are not currently available, but we encourage you to go ahead and give the baby wipes a try—as with all Amazon Elements products, if you don’t love them, we'll give you a full refund.
    • Who are the babies in your product photos?
    • Almost every baby you see has a mom or dad working here at Amazon.

Amazon prides itself on being Earth's most customer-centric company. Customers were the inspiration for Amazon Elements, our own line of everyday essentials. We know it's challenging to navigate all the choices and marketing messages you face while shopping for your family. We thought we could do better in three ways: listening to your feedback for what matters most, making products that live up to your high standards, and sharing every detail to inform your decisions.

When we start developing an Amazon Elements product, we first listen to your feedback and learn what matters most to you. Then we work with manufacturers to make the same decisions we believe you would make if you were calling the shots. For example, we made our baby wipes strong and stretchy, since you told us you hate it when they tear coming out of the dispenser.

We're committed to giving you every detail about our products. This starts with why we made it, how we designed it, who manufactured it, and what ingredients we included. And once you have an Amazon Elements item at home, you can scan its unique code with the Amazon mobile app to learn when and where that exact item was made, when it was ordered, when it was delivered, and its 'best by' date. We will also give you quick access to all of the supplier and ingredient information provided on the product page.

We're proud to stand behind every Amazon Elements product. If you don't love it, we'll give you a full refund.

Customers Reviews

I love their durability and price point

4.0 out of 5.0 by JennK on February 20, 2018
I have been ordering Amazon Sensitive Wipes for a few years now. I love their durability and price point, and of course that a large box can be delivered to my doorstep. I love that the Amazon sensitive wipes are in a large package, they are unscented (but truly unscented), durable (my finger never pokes through), easy to get out of the package without wasting too many wipes, and finally that my sensitive skinned baby has no issues with these wipes.

I received various packages of baby wipes when I had my last baby and so I wanted to do a comparison. I compared the following wipes: Amazon Sensitive, Honest Company, Pampers Sensitive, and Up&Up Unscented. (NOTE: I only compared these four wipe brands, but have tried Kirkland (Costco), Huggies, and Up&Up Sensitive in the past).

Honest: 7.1x8in
Amazon: 6.75x7.9in
Up&Up: 7.375x7in
Pampers: 7x6.8in
- These are in size order, Honest Wipes being the largest and the Pampers being the smallest.

I used the first wipe from each package, folded in half, and put onto a piece of construction paper, I then pressed down firmly for 10 second. I found that the Amazon wipes and the Honest wipes had the most moisture.

I pulled on the wipes, stretching them. The Amazon and Honest wipes stretched the least where the Pampers and Up&Up wipes would stretch a lot. I also did the “finger” test where I wrapped the wipe around my finger and pulled, the wipes that seemed to be the most durable (and not show wear around my finger nail) were the Amazon and Honest wipes. The Up&Up and Pampers wipes did stretch and get thinner around the stress point of my finger nail.

The feel and texture of the wipes is where Pampers and Up&Up clearly win. Both Pampers and Up&Up are very soft and cloth-like and smooth. They are not scratchy or rough. The Honest and Amazon wipes are both very textured and while they are soft they are no where near as soft as the Pampers and Up&Up wipes.

Biggest: Honest and Amazon
Wet: Amazon and Honest
Durable: Honest and Amazon
Texture: Pampers and Up&Up
- Pampers and Up & Up are the softest wipes I compared; however, I will continue to buy Amazon Sensitive because durability and wetness are also important factors for me to choose a baby wipe.

NOTE: I did not test the smell, ingredients, and exact products (I.e., all “Sensitive” wipes) (although all are “hypoallergenic”).

Kirkland Vs Amazon

5.0 out of 5.0 by Marvelous Melissa on June 28, 2017
I have used Kirkland brand wipes for 12 months. I went to Costco to buy more and they were on back order! I decided to try these wipes. I was willing to entertain the idea these would be "acceptable" until I was able to buy Kirkland brand again.

I am VERY pleasantly surprised that these are super nice, high quality wipes! They are softer / slicker than Kirkland but still just as thick and durable. I am afraid to say it but they are equal if not better than Kirkland brand wipes!! They are less expensive and shipped to your door, you can't beat it! Well done Amazon! I am impressed!!
Dry wipes? Store them top down!

5.0 out of 5.0 by Michelle D on March 1, 2016
These are great wipes. The price is great, the ingredients are decent. They are a decent size and soft. I will say that they are a bit dry but I found a simple fix. Store your packages flip top opening down when not in use, the wipes are more noticeably more moist that way.
Good quality

5.0 out of 5.0 by Emily on September 25, 2016
These are nice quality wipes that feel thick/strong and smell nice. I've used expensive wipes (Lansinoh, Mustela), and these are just as nice quality as any of the others I've used. They are about the same thickness as pampers wipes, and actually a bit thicker than Lansinoh and Mustela wipes.

Note: Each package holds 80 wipes, whereas a typical package in other brands tends to have about 50 wipes. So this is a bigger package than you might expect.

Since it is a larger package, the top wipes are going to feel more dry than if it was a smaller package. The liquid sinks to the bottom. Like others have mentioned, store wipes with the flip top down so that the liquid pools in the top wipes rather than in the bottom wipes.

Adding a picture to show texture difference between these wipes and two other brands that I have at home right now.

Overall, because of the low cost and good quality, these wipes have now become are a standing subscribe & save purchase for me. I will still buy another brand for my diaper bag, since these packages are especially bulky.
Great Price and Good Quality

I bought the flip top sensitive wipes and I absolutely love them. They are thick and get the job done. They have no scent and we've not had any issues using them on sensitive bottoms. They hold up great while changing diapers, wiping little hands, removing makeup, and anything else you can use a wipe for. They are just as good in my opinion as the name brand wipes I've used for the past several years while raising babies. I've went through 3 packs and each pack has been throughly saturated so far, I've had no problems with these wipes being dry as some have experienced. Example: They stick to each other from being so wet when I've gotten down close to the last 20 or so wipes just like any other wipe does when the package is almost empty but to prevent this I've started storing the full packs upside down. They are soft and thick but strong. They are textured on one side which helps a great deal when cleaning up a messy bottom. The flip top works great I've had no problems when opening or closing plus it's made of sturdy material and it's sealed tight into the wipe package. The wipes are large in size so I haven't had to use anymore than when I've used my regular name brand wipes but I've not used any less either so in my opinion these wipes are equal in quality to my regular name brand wipes which is pampers sensitive. I'm so glad I found these, they are good quality, affordable, do exactly as they should, and the best part they are delivered to my door at a set time to prevent me from running out. The feedback I have left for amazons sensitive flip top wipes is based on my personal experience of use over the past two months on myself to remove make up, my toddlers potty training, messy diapers, and wiping little hands and faces.
These "Drier" Wipes Are PERFECT for *MY* needs! Not Just For Babies Any More!

5.0 out of 5.0 by Product Reviews By Pam on August 15, 2016
I got these as an all around wipe. I have a 5 yr old grandchild who visits a lot, and my 88 yr old father just moved in with me. So I wanted an easy go-to wipe for sticky hands, make-up removal (when I'm too lazy to do it right!), and elder-"accidents".

You can't beat these for the price. I love that the first ingredient after Water is Chamomile Extract. You can't beat that as an ingredient. And while I'd like to have 100% natural I don't use these enough to worry about that as much.

The cloths are strong, and while on the "drier" side, you can remedy that somewhat by turning the box over when not in use, especially when the using a newer package. I don't like my wipes too wet so really, this issue is a PREFERENCE thing and now something that is "wrong" with them. If you want sloppy wet wipes with lots of ingredients, go back to your Pampers or Huggies.

Speaking of Pampers ... they fit perfectly in an old Pampers container :)

They work well for ME and that's what matters to ME ... but as noted by some grumpy customers, if you want "Wet Ones", this may not be the right product for you. This is why reading a review can be useful because if people read them BEFORE they bought the item there wouldn't be any complaints on here by people b*tching that these are "too dry" for them. LOL

I am a Reviewer on Amazon but I paid full price for this item. I like to write and read reviews because I know that it helps both the seller and the consumer. I don't have any kind of connection to the seller and all my opinions are my own. I hope this has helped you with your purchase decisions!
Love them! Look no further! (& Updates on refills and dispenser)

5.0 out of 5.0 by Kristen on July 5, 2017
UPDATED 8/15/17 (new below)

Original / First Impression - Based on Sensitive 480 count flip top packs:
Love these! I bought the sensitive and would compare them most directly to Honest Company wipes, which I also love! They're not SUPER wet (like Huggies), and more like a fabric wipe (like Honest) than the plasticky feeling of Pampers Sensitive - the sensitive "scent" is very similar to Pampers Sensitive. My husband likes the Pampers Sensitive best, and they did a great job, but I liked the Honest wipes best. They're tough, thick enough, and large enough to handle the messes. I'm trying Unscented next.

As far as dryness is concerned, as with Honest wipes, I store the extra packs upside down and just flip them over when I'm ready to use them - this helps keep them all moisturized - you just have to remember to close the top again.

UPDATE - Based on Unscented refills & tub:
I loved the flip-top packages of the sensitive wipes... whenever they were low they were a super convenient shape/size to throw in a bag and take with you. The refills that come with an Amazon tub do not have a plastic flip top (fine if you're using a tub) but you have no options to use without a tub. The other problem I had with the giant refill box is that the wipes are actually TOO WET. I store them upside down so that the pack is evenly moisturized when I open and the top wipes aren't dry. Maybe Amazon is overcompensating now, but I'm always left wringing out the bottom several wipes (yes, squeezing the wipe and having liquid drip out... not cool). I'm hoping that returning to flip-top packs will be better. Maybe Amazon just is trying to make sure the bulk quantity doesn't dry out?? Whatever it is, it's TOO MUCH.

Improvement areas:
- Better balance of moisture
- Slightly slippery so can be hold to grip, but very strong so OK with me
- The wipes dispenser is GARBAGE. I hate it so much. The top is open so you can reach in and grab a wipe but the actual dispenser part is not effective at keeping a wipe pulled through and the button is annoying. I'll be buying another Huggies wipes box or a proper dispenser to replace it.
Eh... There are way better wipes for the same price.

3.0 out of 5.0 by Leslie on January 27, 2015
If 2.5 stars were an option, this would be my rating. I bought two cases of these and I will not be buying more. To put things into perspective, I would give Honest Company and Costco wipes five stars and Target wipes four stars. My toddler is pretty close to being fully potty trained so I've used a lot of wipes. Here are the pros: (1) the price is good, (2) the ingredients are fully listed and are good for the most part, (3) it's strong, and (4) they truly are good for sensitive skin. Cons: (1) They are not moist enough. It takes twice as many of these to clean up a poop. (2) The synthetic material is not very absorbant and if you fold it in half, it slides against itself. I've gotten a lot of poop on my hands as a result of this. (3) It's only textured on one side. The texture pattern is too big so it really does not do anything. (4) The pop out design is poor. If you pull on it, like 10 of them come out. Overall, the biggest flaw is the weird, almost hydrophobic, material that it's made out of and the poor texture. It takes twice as many wipes to get the job done and they create many more messes.
Thick and Well Lubricated-As Good as Name Brand

This product is an exceptional value for the number of wipes and the overall quality of the wipe. As the pictures show, the thickness and saturation quality is excellent.
Very happy with this product.

5.0 out of 5.0 by DVDdog on October 31, 2016
Extremely happy with this product. The one thing I noticed was that the bottom whips were much more wet then the top ones. That is not to say that the top ones are not moist, but the bottom ones are extremely wet. I am storing the unopened packs upside down. Let the moister redistribute.
