This hut is pretty awesome. It was easy to put together

5.0 out of 5.0 by Ziggy on April 4, 2015
This hut is pretty awesome. It was easy to put together, took about 25 minutes 5 pieces and 2 floor pieces (floor pieces are not worth using to me and they are don't stay in place when moving the hut). This works perfectly for my 2 guinea pigs when they need some outside time. I like that I don't have to worry about anything hurting them since the cage is pretty sturdy.
Chicken Brooder

5.0 out of 5.0 by Megan B on April 9, 2016
Exactly what I needed! Assembly was quick and easy - just needed a screwdriver. We added 3 chicks to our flock and this is the perfect size to brood them in. It will be a tight fit when they are full grown, but at that point we will introduce them to the flock. I'll definitely be saving this pen for future chicks.
Great for animals that don't chew!

I love this hutch for use for chicks and young guinea fowl. Assembly was super fast. It is light so it can be moved anywhere easily;I use it as a chicken tractor when I can be outside to supervise the chicks. I bought tent stakes at the local big box store to stake it down, as I believe a strong wind would be able to lift it up, so a predator could definitely turn it over easily. I would NOT recommend this for a rabbit. We put a full grown doe in it. It was the perfect size for her but she tore off pieces of the wood and ate them!! We also have rabbits that run around the cage and they have chewed it, too.
Versatile Little Hutch

4.0 out of 5.0 by Kathryn Reaux on February 25, 2019
I got this hutch for my silkie hen to raise her chicks until they are big enough to join my other chickens. It came in quickly, was fairly easy to put together. The only issue with the actual construction is that there is a tiny piece of wood that keeps the wooden door from falling into the structure that broke easily. I put a nail replace it and it works fine. The wood feels light and cheap but that's what you get for the price and convenience. I painted it so that it matches my larger chicken coop and to help it survive the elements. I also added a handle to the top for convenience.I love how this hutch can be used for so many critters! I bought it as a mini chicken tractor for my hen to raise her chicks. Until the hatch, I'm using it as an acclimation crate for 2 barn cats. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Most versatile cage ever!

The PawHut Outdoor Triangular Hutch has a very cool design. It gives your pet a sunny and airy place to enjoy the outdoors plus a secure and shaded area to sleep or feel protected.I recently rescued a Gambel quail chick and he is enjoying his new dwellings very much! I added some protective steel mesh and decorative plants. Then I realized that the only thing missing to give it the feel of a luxury mountain retreat was a chandelier, so I hung one for him.The cage is very light and functional, and the wire feel strong enough to house your pet securely. My only complaint is that the pieces don't seem to fit very well together in some places. The assembly instructions are too basic; you have to be careful to align the pieces correctly and use some force to screw in the top. Also the two wooden pieces that create the floor inside the little house don't fit well together. There is a gap about a quarter inch wide in the middle if you push the two pieces of wood against the edges of the cage. I solved the problem by adding wire mesh, which I intended to do anyway to make cleaning easier.Regardless, it's a fun little pet house that looks so good that it gets your interior decorator juices flowing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am.
I can say it was fairly easy to put together

I don't know how long it will last outside. I will update as I go along. So far, I can say it was fairly easy to put together. Big enough for 2 bantams, maybe 3. I would not put any more than that. It is light weight which makes it easy to move around to grassy areas. We also think it would be ideal for 2-3 week or older chicks if weather allows it. We live in Alabama and it is hot, and humid right now, no light needed. I would move chicks under a shed if it rains. If it is not raining, it can allow for ground time for chicks. These are thing that we have noticed. If used for rabbits, watch for digging out and this will not be big enough for large rabbits. Hotot, Netherland Dwarfs, Mini-rex, and any other small breed of rabbit would be okay in this for ground time. Again, I would not leave them in the same spot day after day without moving them around due to digging out and poop build up.
Great little pen to use as brooder

5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazon Customer on June 12, 2019
Using this as a brooder for some chicks. It seems sturdy except for the wood floor in the little "house" area. That is very flimsy and does not attached , it just sits in 2 grooves. Pops up if you set the pen on grass that may push it up. Not a big deal but not a good design on the floor. The Pen is exactly the measurements as described. it is small but it is advertised as a small pen. Very easy and light weight to pick up and move. Access doors are adequate for the size of the pen. Overall, was better than I expected. Most little coops, hutches and small animal pens are just plain cheaply made and the cost is ridiculous. This pen is nicely made but at 70.00 it was a little over priced. Still, glad I purchased it.
Works well! SO EASY to put together. Made of cedar!

4.0 out of 5.0 by Adrienne on January 11, 2017
I was pleasantly surprised when opening the box that it was cedar! Cedar has a great smell and is one of the better woods to hold up against weather and bugs when outdoors. We bought two. I put the first together by myself in about 10 minutes. The second, even faster, about 5. It's very simple! Not sure why people are surprised by the size as the dementions are in the photos and the description. One quirk was that the bottom boards are not made of thick wood and I am sure they will wear quickly. They also do not meet flush to each other and here is a gap on one side, about 1/2 inch, if you push them all the way together. This was true for both hutches.I do not believe these are suitable for chickens as chickens are just about as big as the little house portion of this! You aren't comfortably fitting more than one chicken in this. Might be good for a roofer. We bought two of these for our rabbits. We will be adding onto these and making them into rabbit tractors. We had to do something for our large bunny as he was miserable in the tiny cage we had for him (temporary emergency situation). The closure for the wire opening is pretty pathetic and won't keep an intelligent rabbit in not a racoon predator out!
