BEST TIRE DRESSING AVAILABLE

5.0 out of 5.0 by Anonymous on September 26, 2017
I used to use chemical guys VRP. I still use it on other cars but not mine. That one last me about 3-4 days with a fully cleaned tire and then ties matte black after that and sometimes starts browning. I thought that was the best tire dressing out there but I was wrong until I found Opti Bond.

But Opti bond tire gel will last a long time!!! IF you degrease and clean the tire properly every time will last you about 2 weeks or more! I applied roughly about 2 weeks ago and I just washed my car today, my tires are still shiny and black! Very impressed with this tire gel! A little goes a long way with this product! The bottle should last me a year or so with bi weekly washes. Use a foam or microfiber applicator pad or Adams Foam block! A teaspoon size of gel should be enough for a normal sized tire.

Consistency is very watery which I did not like at first but it’s Easy to work with. Lasts a long time on a properly cleaned wheel. And remember a little goes a long way with this tire dressing. It does give a shiny finish for a week! And it’s not as shiny as VRP but I’ll sacrifice that for durability any day! And it does not sling at all, if you do a wipe down with a microfiber 5-10 minutes after applying.
Opti-bond gives a good shine- not too over the top but not too ...

I'm a car detailer so generally I'm picky about the products I use everyday. Opti-bond gives a good shine- not too over the top but not too matte either. Can be layered for more gloss. I usually use a brush to apply the gel to low profile tires. Otherwise I use meguiars hyper dressing in a spray bottle.
Excellent product for the price.

I wanted a tire gel that would protect my tires without making them look unnaturally shiny, and was water based so I wouldn't have to worry about the tires browning like they would with regular use of a solvent based tire gel. I use it straight out of the bottle without diluting it, and let it sit on the tires for a few minutes so that it can soak into the rubber. After that I wipe off the excess with a towel. The more you leave on the tires the glossier it looks. I don't like the gloss so I wipe away the excess, this also prevents the "run off" and "sling" that I've seen other people complaining about in their reviews. If you wipe off the excess you should have no issues with the gel slinging off while driving.
For a water based tire gel I've found that its actually quite durable. I put it on both my daily driver and my summer car that I only drive in nice weather. With my daily driver I had at least 3 rain showers I had to drive through after applying it and I purposely drove through puddles to see how it would hold up. When the tires got wet the water beaded up, and the tire gel lasted close to 3 weeks before it was completely gone. On my summer car its been a couple of months and it's still on my tires and they have that deep black color you would expect to see on new tires; whereas before they were slightly browned from me trying other cleaning products on them that didn't work so well.
In the end I think this is a great product. For being water based I think it is quite durable, and I like that it doesn't give my tires a glossy look like many others do. But if you desire that glossy look it can be achieved with this product if you just wipe it on and leave it or apply more than one layer. Just be sure to wipe off the excess in between each layer you apply otherwise the gel will sling off.
The only other complaint that I remember reading about in other reviews was that it was too thin and hard to apply. It is thin, and runs a little when it's poured onto the the sponge, but its not so thin that it's difficult to use. For the price I think this is an outstanding product and definitely worth a try.
Best tire dressing, my go to for the last 5+ years.

5.0 out of 5.0 by Jason on July 31, 2017
My favorite tire dressing out there. You can get more expensive stuff and you can get cheaper, but this is my go to. It's not dilutable as some, but it lasts longer so you don't have to waste as much as something like Hyper Dressing (which is also a really good product). A 32 oz bottle lasts me forever and I have SUV tires and a car that gets washed / detailed weekly.
Good for price, a little watery?

I know it's a water based polymer dressing, but it feels like it's really.. Thin? Like it sticks on my applicator pad, but when I rub it into tires, it's like really soft or looks like it would wipe away easily. I've noticed it's not as durable as Meguiars Endurance. But this one smells better, is supposedly higher quality, but I'm not sure.

Great for trims and plastics too. Maybe I'm not using it right! I think you're supposed to wipe it away and then it leaves the tire looking clean and new..
Could not be more pleased

5.0 out of 5.0 by J. Back on February 12, 2015
I'm used Optimum products for years and I could not be more pleased with this tire gel. I'm not sure why I waited so long to give it a try and am kicking myself for trying so many things when I could have been using this multi-purpose product the whole time. The first thing I wanted to try was doing the 1:1 spray so after opening the box so I mixed up a small spray bottle, shook it like crazy and then went outside as the sun was setting to try it on my tires that hadn't even been cleaned yet. The tires looked clean, black and wet but I wondered what they would look like in the morning and was very pleasantly surprised that they still looked clean with a hint of shine and they have stayed that way for a week now.

Since then I've used the product at 1:1 on my hood trim, roof trim, window trim, bumper trim as well as my dashboard and am more than thrilled. As a long time user of 303 Aerospace for protection I have to say that this may be a replacement for anything it can do because of the ability to apply directly or spray for faster/lighter/easier coverage.
but requires a few coats and plenty of microfiber buffing to get it back to a nice black. Still a good value

It doesn't leave tires as matte as some reviews have led me to believe, even with extensive buffing after application. There is certainly still some shine there. It doesn't sling as badly as some other tire gels I've used, but it does sling. I've started using it more on wheelwells and plastic trim while exploring some other options for tires. It does work well on black plastic, but requires a few coats and plenty of microfiber buffing to get it back to a nice black.

Still a good value, the big bottle will last at least a few months unless you're shining up 35s or 37s every few weeks.
Long lasting shine

Update, two weeks after application and still slick. Best stuff out there. I recommend using a tire brush. Then wipe extra residue with a towel. If you get on your hands it's easy to rinse off.
The best Tire Dressing on the market!

5.0 out of 5.0 by Mr. Howell on July 19, 2016
I have been detailing for 22 years and this is by far my favorite Tire Dressing. Most of the vehicles I work on are black/dark color and so any type of silicone base tire dressing slings onto the fender, quarter panel, and doors at highway speeds. This product doesn't leave those oily spots all over the paint because it's water base and dries after 10 minutes in the sun. This has a satin shine with one thin coat, and a high gloss with two thin coats. The best thing is a little goes a long way so give it 10 minutes to soak in between coats. Just using one heavy coating only waist the product. One gallon last me a full year on my personal vehicles.
The best of its kind....period!

I've used a countless amount of TOP END tire dressings in the past..... Some have been very good and a few were excellent..... This one is simply EXCEPTIONAL!

I recently ran out of my previous tire dressing [Adam's Super VRT] and my local dealer didn't have any more in stock..... He said it would be a couple of weeks and I couldn't wait that long.... For those wandering: I refuse to order from Adam's direct as I've had more than a couple of issues with them in the past that they refused to rectify.... Good products; horrible customer service.

Anyway, this product was recommended to me by a good friend and seeing as it was an Amazon Prime product, I thought I'd give it a try as I would have it in my hands in two or less days....

One of the best purchases I've made in recent times! Application is the key; a little on a foam applicator goes a LONG WAY..... A brilliant Matte finish with one application; another will give it a little more sheen and a third more so.... Two applications with several minutes in between works best for me....

Make sure tires are clean AND dry..... Longevity is amazing! I've been thru three rain periods in as many weeks and the dressing is still apparent.... Dries very quickly.... Has ZERO sling or runs.... Makes tires look a million $$$..... I've found my tire dressing from here on....

Price is VERY reasonable and MUCH better than far less inferior gimmicks out there..... Very highly recommended.... Amazon, as usual were brilliant.
